Frequently Asked Questions At Dental Designs of Washington PA.
We can’t answer them if you don’t ask. Here are some frequently asked questions and answers about our practice at Dental Designs.
I’m afraid of visiting the dentist. What should I do?
While it’s easy for us to say “don’t be,” we only can say that because we know how much we’ll bend over backwards to try and minimize any discomfort or nervousness you may have. We have experience with every kind of patient imaginable. Oftentimes, understanding your procedure and why it’s so important to your overall health can help put visiting the dentist in a proper context. Why be afraid of something that’s good for you?
Do dental procedures hurt?
We’d love to answer this “no” but we can’t always say that. Many are pleasantly surprised that it’s “not as bad as they thought it would be.” But sometimes, what we have to do for dental health, maintenance and repair causes some discomfort. Know that our goal is to make you as comfortable and as pain-free (or pain minimum) as possible using the latest techniques in local anesthetic and if necessary, sedation dentistry techniques.
I have a dental emergency. What should I do?
In case of emergency: If you are a current Dental Designs patient suffering a dental emergency, be sure to call the office or stop in at our location during business hours and we will make every effort to see you.
If you are not a current patient, we encourage you to reach out to your existing dentist immediately, or if you have none, reach out to us and we will make every effort to see you, or refer you to a qualified local dentist if our schedule cannot accommodate you for any reason.
What should all patients know and do prior to their first visit?
Fill out new patient forms, be sure current insurance information is available, and briefly review our First Visit web section.
What Insurance do you take?
Dental Designs accepts most major dental insurance plans including United Concordia, Delta, Guardian, Cigna, Aetna, MetLife, Coventry, UPMC, Gateway and United Healthcare.
We also work with some fixed benefit dental plans, and also accept cash and most major credit cards. Should you need financing, we utilize nationally available Care Credit as a potential third-party finance partner — and can check on availability right from our office. Contact us if you need more clarity.
How is billing handled—when do I pay you?
Normally cost of procedures same day, less allowances for your individual insurance coverage.
Do you accept walk in appointments?
Yes we do, but in general, walk ins are not recommended, simply because there’s a little bit for both of us to do to be ready to meet — and we run a pretty busy practice here; we wouldn’t want you to wait too long for the attention you deserve.
